Leap to the top of the pile
Jumping Hero is a free game with very basic gameplay. It takes place in a colorful world in which a set of characters must compete to reach the top of a pile of blocks. Can you push your protagonist to the very peak?
A casual look at the game might suggest that it is a platformer in the vein of Super Mario Bros 3 or Sonic Games. In fact, it is something quite different. The gameplay consists primarily of pressing the screen.
Push the screen, reach the top
The objective of Jumping Hero is to make your character jump to the top of a pile of blocks, beating two rivals in the process. Your character will automatically perform jumps, but these start out very small. As the player, you will need to keep on pushing the screen to power up the jumps and give your hero a boost.
Rocket pack
To get a super-sized jump, you can blast off with a rocket pack. You can make use of one free rocket pack at the start of each session, while more can be obtained by watching adverts. Be warned that a careless slip could cause you to plummet back down to the bottom of the level, forcing you to start again.
Customization
Even small jumps will earn you virtual cash that you can spend on character upgrades. Most of these affect only appearance: you can buy new hair, accessories, and clothing colors. However, buying new shoes will boost your jump power.
Very basic
The gameplay in Jumping Hero is extremely simple and soon becomes monotonous. The worst part of the game is falling to the bottom. If this happens, then you may as well start all from scratch, as your opponents will already be well ahead of you. The colorful graphics might appeal to kids, however.
